I have always had an animal in my life.  As a teen, I worked with Wildlife Rescue and we would walk around searching for wounded animals after hurricanes and major storms.  Animals play a big role in my life and I will always be there for them.  A proud mother of three boys, I also have a long list of furries in my family.  My cats (Marvin, Theo, Gabe, Kit, Amyth, Blue & Molly); a few ferrets, a few snakes; tortoises, lizards and my two senior dachshunds, one of whom is blind and the other deaf. In addition to my Associate's in Business Management, I am currently pursuing my goal of becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I am always looking forward to the future to see what life brings me next!

Hi, my name is Stephanie and I have been working with animals since 2015. I started at boarding clinics, which I really enjoyed. However, the longer I worked in that field the more I wanted to learn and do for people pets. So, this year I am grateful that I was able to become a vet assistant. So, I can now do and help more with people pets.

Hey Y'all! I'm Lea, a Virginia native and former military brat. Ever since I was a little girl, working alongside animals was a dream of mine, On my journey of following my dreams, I had the opportunity to get my Bachelors of Sciences, in Agriculture with a concentration of Pre-Vet/Animal Science. Being a military brat, I got to experience traveling across the country, which is now one of my favorite pastimes. My other favorite would be spending time with my family, especially my nephew. Hello! My name is Melissa. I'm a Hampton Roads native & graduate from Great Bridge High; I then completed my Associates Degree at TCC in Science. Currently, my heart is claimed by my very spoiled cat, Miso and my lovable Pit Bull, Missy.  When I'm not working, I'm typically a homebody with my nose in a book, cuddling with my furry babies, Being creative with art, or out and about with my camera. I always enjoy working here at AMC because spending time with our furry friends is always rewarding.  Caring for patients and seeing clients happy is the best feeling you could have.

"Hi, my name is Lisa and I joined the AMC team in 2018 after being home with my family for 15 years.

After growing up in Virginia Beach, we moved to Chesapeake 25 years ago.  My husband and I have 2 boys, Connor and Jacob, still at home with us.  Our daughter, Kaila, is all grown up now and has blessed us with 2 wonderful grandchildren - Aiden and Everleigh Grace.  After recently losing my sweet boxer, I am totally spoiling my little Chihuahua, Bentley.  

I am so grateful and excited to be here at AMC & enjoy seeing all our cute little patients and their people!

Hey, Mel here! I'm a Virginia Beach native who moved to Chesapeake in 2006. I've been in the veterinary client service field for about 6 years. My husband and I have 4 kids, 2 sweet grandbabies, and 8 fur babies (Maverick, Sly, Shelia, Dutchess, Baylee, Leah, Meeko, and Bob). I love working at Animal Medical and getting to know all of our clients and their pets.

Hey, my name's Tia, and I'm a receptionist at Animal Medical as well as a Chesapeake native! I've grown up and worked around animals my entire life, and have had a passion for all fur friends big and small! In my spare time you can usually find me either gardening in the backyard or relaxing on the couch playing video games. I've got a fifteen year old tabby cat named Bella who basically runs my life, but I love her anyway!
